Damir Matijevic Alter
I was born on the 4th of April 1963 in Gospic, Croatia, where I finished elementary and high school.
I became involved in photography in 1980's, and when I moved to Zagreb to pursue the studies of Ship engineering in 1984, I started participating in photo exhibitions organized by the Photographer's Association of Croatia.
In the year 1987,I started publishing my photographies in various newspapers and magazines:

In the year 1989 I enrolled the Academy of drama arts in Zagreb, Department for film and TV photography . Since the year 1993.

Artist's Statement
My research in experimental black and white photos is concentrated in
critical minimum of information or changing perception.
So Erotica obscura
is made from clasic negative but with planty of developing process on paper,
there are solarization, overexposition, fade black tone with fericijanid,
and repeat develop proces few time. Photos at end is unique.
Scattering matrix is made on the simplest way is possible: in labos take one
paper out turn white light on, put paper in water
and than take in hand and squezze it. Ya, before pressure put hand in
developer. At end fix paper ( I mean paper, not plastic paper )equalization
do on dryer few times. This is matrix of your life. Inspired with book
